Teej Festival Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at Guru Nanak College for Women, BangaThe Teej Festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Guru Nanak College for Women, Banga, as a vibrant tribute to Punjabi culture and rich folk heritage. Teej, an important traditional festival of Punjab, symbolises joy, togetherness and the spirit of womanhood.The campus came alive with colourful glimpses of Punjabi folk traditions as students, dressed in beautiful traditional Punjabi attire, enthusiastically participated in Giddha, Punjabi boliyan and various other cultural activities. Their lively performances created an atmosphere filled with traditional charm and festive spirit.On the occasion, Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur, a member of the College Managing Committee, graced the event with her presence and encouraged the participating students. Mrs. Meenu Bhola, Principal, also extended her warm wishes to the students on the occasion of Teej and encouraged them to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.The highlight of the celebration was the ‘Miss Teej’ competition. Jasmeen Verma, B.Com. Semester I, was crowned ‘Miss Teej’, while Janvi, B.Com. Semester V, also impressed everyone with her graceful and confident presentation.The celebration not only provided the students with an opportunity to enjoy the vibrant traditions of Teej but also strengthened their connection with Punjabi culture and instilled in them a sense of pride in their rich cultural heritage
